ICELANDDDDDDD

So as my secondary school friend was on an exchange in Norway, we initially wanted to catch the Northern Lights in Norway....
But to our disappointment, it cost about SGD2000 for one Northern Light tour in Norway.

As such we started to search for alternatives....
In the end we settled with Iceland and I will never ever regret the decision.

In total, I spent about SGD750for the Iceland tour from London.

I took Lufthansa flight from Singapore to London, with a transit in Germany.
This flight cost about SGD1,220 and the food they serve was not bad. Leg space ample space too~
However one thing bad is about the constant strike Lufthansa crew goes on...

I arrive at Heatrow airport and took a National Express bus from Heatrow to Gatwrick airport.
With my coach card that I purchased for 10Pounds, it cost me 14Pounds for the 1 hour bus ride.

Gatwrick airport is where the budget airlines arrive and depart London.
My airticket was purchased via E-dreams, the ticket cost approximately SGD250 (without any check in luggage).

Upon reaching the airport , I met my friend and we proceeded to board the bus to Blue Lagoon.
We have pre-book a pick up and airport, and drop off at our hotel from the Blue Lagoon website.
Inclusive of the pick up and drop off, the Blue Lagoon trip cost us SGD89.19 per pax.

We immediately got our pick up at our hostel for the Northern Light tours upon reaching the hostel.  I chose not to go with Reykjavik Excursions as their tour compromises of about 40 pax per tour... Instead we chose Time tours and I totally do not regret it.
We were late for our pick up time ,  but they came back to pick us up after picking the rest of the passengers (Late because the bus took quite long from the Blue Lagoon).
The tour for Time tour cost SGD82.50 per pax.
After our tour, the tourguide even send us the photo from that day.
Photos are from the tourguide professional camera...

If you have a camera, they will teach you how to set it to capture the lights too.
And if you have an Iphone, there is an app you can download (If I did not rmb wrongly, it was the Northern Light app).
If you did not manage to catch the Northern Light that day, they offer you a voucher to catch it within your stay in Iceland or when you come back the next time and it is for free...

We ended our tour at 2am back at our hostel.
The next day we have arranged for free and easy.

So on our next day at Iceland we decided to roam around the streets of Reykjavik. Went to the church and went to eat the awesome hotdog bun.
Photos will do the talking....

On Day 3, we joined the Golden Circle tour which cost us about SGD97.77.

For our accomodation, we stayed at Bus Hostel Reykjavik.
A very nice hostel. Although it is not very near to the city centre, we manage to reach it within 20minutes by walking.
And most tour accommodates pick up from this hostel.
It cost us SGD155 from 3 nights stay per pax.

For our meals, we manage to only spend about SGD40for 3days...
Didn't really eat much cause of the cost but we decided to pamper ourselves on the last day with the famous Noodle Station and I do not regret it.
It is a must try!!!
