ICELANDDDDDDD

So as my secondary school friend was on an exchange in Norway, we initially wanted to catch the Northern Lights in Norway....
But to our disappointment, it cost about SGD2000 for one Northern Light tour in Norway.

As such we started to search for alternatives....
In the end we settled with Iceland and I will never ever regret the decision.

In total, I spent about SGD750for the Iceland tour from London.

I took Lufthansa flight from Singapore to London, with a transit in Germany.
This flight cost about SGD1,220 and the food they serve was not bad. Leg space ample space too~
However one thing bad is about the constant strike Lufthansa crew goes on...

I arrive at Heatrow airport and took a National Express bus from Heatrow to Gatwrick airport.
With my coach card that I purchased for 10Pounds, it cost me 14Pounds for the 1 hour bus ride.

Gatwrick airport is where the budget airlines arrive and depart London.
My airticket was purchased via E-dreams, the ticket cost approximately SGD250 (without any check in luggage).

Upon reaching the airport , I met my friend and we proceeded to board the bus to Blue Lagoon.
We have pre-book a pick up and airport, and drop off at our hotel from the Blue Lagoon website.
Inclusive of the pick up and drop off, the Blue Lagoon trip cost us SGD89.19 per pax.

We immediately got our pick up at our hostel for the Northern Light tours upon reaching the hostel.  I chose not to go with Reykjavik Excursions as their tour compromises of about 40 pax per tour... Instead we chose Time tours and I totally do not regret it.
We were late for our pick up time ,  but they came back to pick us up after picking the rest of the passengers (Late because the bus took quite long from the Blue Lagoon).
The tour for Time tour cost SGD82.50 per pax.
After our tour, the tourguide even send us the photo from that day.
Photos are from the tourguide professional camera...

If you have a camera, they will teach you how to set it to capture the lights too.
And if you have an Iphone, there is an app you can download (If I did not rmb wrongly, it was the Northern Light app).
If you did not manage to catch the Northern Light that day, they offer you a voucher to catch it within your stay in Iceland or when you come back the next time and it is for free...

We ended our tour at 2am back at our hostel.
The next day we have arranged for free and easy.

So on our next day at Iceland we decided to roam around the streets of Reykjavik. Went to the church and went to eat the awesome hotdog bun.
Photos will do the talking....

On Day 3, we joined the Golden Circle tour which cost us about SGD97.77.

For our accomodation, we stayed at Bus Hostel Reykjavik.
A very nice hostel. Although it is not very near to the city centre, we manage to reach it within 20minutes by walking.
And most tour accommodates pick up from this hostel.
It cost us SGD155 from 3 nights stay per pax.

For our meals, we manage to only spend about SGD40for 3days...
Didn't really eat much cause of the cost but we decided to pamper ourselves on the last day with the famous Noodle Station and I do not regret it.
It is a must try!!!

MLM

Have been tricked into a few MLM companies ...
The first one I don't quite remember , but i went for it and was told to buy products to sell so that I can earn....
Registered my name in but never got back to them after that.
The second one was by my ex boyfriend's mom. She put my name under hers. And she use my account to buy the stuffs,so I don't really have much involvement.
And then I brought some make up workshop voucher from groupon... Turn out to be MLM too.. Rejected them straight in their face...

I swear this will be the last time.
Got trick in by my friend or rather past customer.
Wah, sibeh friendly during first few days leh.
After I got in, no more contact from him personally...

Luckily for me there was a policy that you can get back your money within 60days that you signed up..

Only signed up for a week, but I saw how realistic people can be. Totally feel this people are just using us to get more money.

Same for insurance though.. Ppl who keep selling savings plan cause their returns are higher😒

Anyway am not gonna join any. And don't get cheated into MLM. No such thing as easy money in life.. They will try to convince you that you can get back this money , you don't need to spend much time on finding people to join .. But all those are bullshit.

And mlm always use celebrities to promote their product. Just a caution not to be tricked in.

Not gonna stated the company. But it sells travel packages. Just so you know.

BKK DAY 2!

So finally have some time to update ...

Second day we woke up at like 7.30, prepared ourselves and went for daily buffet breakfast in our hotel.
After which, we walked to the BTS Phaya Thai, we took the BTS to Mo Chit and exit by exit 1.

Fews stalls were open at 9am.
But slowly 10am more started opening.
Walked around quite a few rounds

Pardon me for my spams of photo..

Very empty at 9am

only 10 baht (DAMN NICE)

Coconut ice cream

POPSICLE

HAD TO GET ONE!!!!

Some random sausage store. Not bad, but chicken 10baht was more shiok

Had lunch here... food wasn't that nice

We left Chatuchak at about 4 plus, cause we were too tired to walk.
Headed to our early dinner !

So we had Mookata (Pla Thong) for dinner at Victory Monument..
Ate till like 7pm

Filled with Locals

Wanted to catch a movie before dinner,  but the movie prices were like almost the same as Singapore.
So we gave up and went back to the hotel early.
Walked around the night market around our hotel before going back..

BKK DAY 1 !

So we left Singapore on 3 Jan (9.35 Flight).
Reach BKK at about 11am BKK Time.
Went to get the SIM card from AIS at 299 Baht.
Before plane took off
After getting the SIM card, we ate lunch at the 3rd floor (Kin Restaurant)
 REALLY REGRET IT.
cause it cost like 40SGD....
totally not worth it....
I had the Japanese lunch as my boss told me Japanese food in BKK is cheap and nice...
(BUT WE WENT TO THE WRONG RESTAURANT .... *cries* )
(I found out Siam Paragon had a Japanese store selling Tonkatsu and upon calculation it cost slightly cheaper then my lunch in airport :(  Definitely recommend that restaurant instead!)

We took the city line to Rajchaprarop Station, it cost us 45Baht from the airport.
Manage to reach our hotel within 35minutes. (30minute city line + 5mins walk)

 We stayed over at Budacco.
It is near Pratunam Market.
Not as fantastic as GLOW but I think it was still ok.
The room is similar to the photos shown on their web page.

Per night it cost us about 65SGD.
Cheaper than GLOW by quite alot.
Total cost for 4 nights was 255SGD

In the lift of our hotel
After checking in, we slacked around till about 3...
Finally we decided to not waste our day anymore ...
We walked to Ratchathewi Station .
Just had to take some photos of the telephone booth and roadside stall!
Cause we don't see it in Singapore anymore.
I know it's quite sua ku...

Not sure how much it is to cab to the temple...
As it was only the two of us, we felt it was better to take the BTS & MRT instead to save the money.
Furthermore, less likely to be cheated...

Heard from my bus uncle regarding on people donating money to buy coffins for the poor and unclaimed bodies.
So we decided to drop by and do some donations.
Got all the instructions of what to do from this website.
It cost us only 20SGD

After finishing the donation, we went over to the temple beside it.
Saw people buying hay to feed the cows..
We just took some picture and left the place to eat our dinneeerrrr~

When we reach Thong Long BTS. It was about 6pm.
Stores open were still quite little.

Didn't ate on the first day but ate one on the 2nd day we came back :x
